PATTERNS OF DECEIPT

 The rudimentary "Moda" as mentioned by Roland barthes seems to imply many constructs as to how "Moda" is approachable. Many things can also be said about the style and ornament of modern designs. Others could say otherwise but it's anyone's game on the interpretation, I believe my points will flourish.


In the book of Roland "Moda" is a word that establishes a connection with previous times, and modern times. It also encapsulates the link between multiple concepts such as what is the rhythm in separate dimensional styles, what moral and/or sentimental, emotional and futuristic patterns could do in convergence with one another. In simple terms, it wants us to be captivated by what is being portrayed onto lookers no matter the culture. There is an interdimensional aspect of it that is attempting to be translucent, yet understandable.


All things considered, the most common feature nowadays is not the "Moda" in my eyes but the style. What do I mean by that? I mean the pattern. Every grocery store from Walmart to Walgreens, maintains a certain interior and outer structure that is consistently developed in a manner to attract consumers. Shelves of food on one end to satisfy grocery shopping, another at the far end of Walmart deliberately to sell technological equipment and entice onlookers to buy other stuff they see whilst walking to the tech section. Walgreens puts their pharmacies at the far end typically to also entice people into buying something else they see along the way. Do you see the style? The pattern being placed to deliver temptation onto the client? It's all the trend in modern times with even houses having the same generic repetitive build and very few modified interiors.


In conclusion, appreciate the ornaments but don't get bamboozled into buying needles items. Don't be complacent about your designs but don't be cocky about it. Keep a balance into everything in life and apply "Moda" into aspects of life for further advancements into obtaining intuition. Education and knowledge create powerful designers.
