Measurements of God

It is truly fascinating to see the great wonders elaborated in such a spectacle. From the creation of how the pillars made of marble in Greece came to be, to the curvature of the designs in the cathedrals. All of them ultimately implement a construct focusing on the distribution of gravity and it's weight. The magnificent engineering behind the dome of the great cathedral is of one to behold if any. Many back then used Vitruvian pentagrams of man to create these designs as well and that makes all the more fascinating given what they had at their disposal. Given the restrictions in the times of the construction of Brunelleschi dome, it is truly remarkable to witness how a man with no architectural experience could create such a wonder. I could argue that although he was not specialized in such fields, he was experienced in the fields of arts with different materials therefore making him a craftsman of sorts. This creativity gained from his previous endeavors gave way to a plethora o...

PATTERNS OF DECEIPT

The rudimentary "Moda" as mentioned by Roland barthes seems to imply many constructs as to how "Moda" is approachable. Many things can also be said about the style and ornament of modern designs. Others could say otherwise but it's anyone's game on the interpretation, I believe my points will flourish. In the book of Roland "Moda" is a word that establishes a connection with previous times, and modern times. It also encapsulates the link between multiple concepts such as what is the rhythm in separate dimensional styles, what moral and/or sentimental, emotional and futuristic patterns could do in convergence with one another. In simple terms, it wants us to be captivated by what is being portrayed onto lookers no matter the culture. There is an interdimensional aspect of it that is attempting to be translucent, yet understandable. All things considered, the most common feature nowadays is not the "Moda" in my eyes but the style. What do...

PINPOINTED ACCUARCY

Amazingly, there have not been too many issues with how one perceives a certain body of material. There have been multiple interpretations as to how one should stabilize it once presented with other objects but never really questioned on what substance to start it off with in terms of its aesthetic. Coordination and precision are obliged however, and that, is where I'm getting at. Coordination is a stepping stone for how something will be set in stone in accordance with something else, yet, internally, the constructs must also be considered. Take example cement columns, they need steel bars intertwined within in order to resist the environment and especially impacts caused by people. If not applied with such restricted rules, the material would collapse even before it gets fully built. We must place things in a certain pattern, whether it be symmetric or asymmetric. Another important trait to bring awareness to is the precision and aesthetic tone of what material will be used for ...

SPATIAL ENVIROMENT

It is important to consider the gap in things. Establishing an area for the commencement of any building or minimal is a feat all must consider before mining away at any creation. Due to the area many have had to twist the concept of articulating such designs as well and it is necessary to prevent the possibilities of losing it along with people's lives. Perception is utterly vital in such cases and it must be analyzed thoroughly before starting any sort of infrastructure. Why you may ask? Because it will allow us to follow suit more efficiently on what we decide to program into society. Take as reference the grid shell created from the Abu Dhabi's five star Yas Hotel. Due to the lack of time, they had to ethically connect all the columns at the same time as the inner hotel structure was being built with it finally finishing with the 10 legs at the very end, allowing it to be stable and balanced. In its entirety, there was equal planning on its aesthetic with the glass panels ...

VALUE OF THE CRAFT

Establishing a connection with aesthetic and efficiency has always been a very pleasing endeavor to many. As technology continues to advance so to do the designs. A good representation of this comes with the creation of the famous plywood chair created by Charles and Ray. The works of such individuals continue to evolve and illuminate the minds of new designers even to this day. One thing is certain however, and that is the need for aesthetic behind every new creation made by a architect. Not only is aesthetic required but it is actually needed in order to compete with the likes of other designers; further helping in exposing such creations to the public with more ease. Aesthetic can be soothing, relieving and even motivating to those who bestow themselves upon it. Given the circumstances, you could say it has a aura to it and you'd be right. Somewhat of a healing process among other things to say the least. A bonus that could be added to an already aesthetic piece is it's effi...

THE INNATE THOUGHT PROCESS OF THE MIND

As infrastructures have continued to advance in more linear and dynamic ways, many still look to prioritize a specific design compared to simpler times. One such artist (if you could call him that) is Peter Zumthor who designed the thermal baths in a very peculiar yet stunning manner. It truly is mind boggling as to how some individuals manage such a build. One thing is undeniable however, and that is the stability needed to keep such structures afloat. For example, Georges Pompidou Centre, although it's appearance may look bleak and/or unstable, it is finely built in such a manner and area which allow it to survive most if not all natural threats that would otherwise cause cataclysmic damage. If a design cannot meet stability then it could very well lead to disastrous results and even casualties among individuals. It is crucial for the design of any structure to also pertain a certain meaning behind it's design without having to take away from it's purpose. The reasoning ...

THE ENTANGLEMENT OF ALL PEOPLE

As time has progressed throughout all history since the dawn of man, there have been many interpretations as to how oneself should live life, yet many would see to it only one way in order to keep order and balance in ones life. This lifestyle and the connection behind how people interpret life is what must be taken into consideration. During the progression of each individual scene, I observed that every culture implements many alternative methods towards worshipping some higher being or individual. Despite the splintered link between one region and the other in terms of deity or way of living, one thing is undisputable, that is the communication. Whether it be verbal or non-verbal, written or visual, etc. ,we still (and forever so) need this in order to get by with others. Although the people have there differences it must be respected and appreciated to a degree due to the fact that they have established order within the very society they live in and that is something that should no...
